Effective date: October 14, 2026.

This policy covers the Cielo Hermosa farm software at app.cielohermosa.com, including the field phone app, the wholesale buyer portal and public traceability pages (the "Service"). Our marketing website, cielohermosa.com, has its own privacy policy.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to run your account and the tools you use, and to bill you.
  • Payments go through Stripe. We never see your full card number.
  • We don't sell personal information and don't share it for advertising.
  • Farms that use the Service control the records they enter about their own workers, customers and buyers. We handle those records on the farm's behalf.

1. What we collect

WhatWhenWhy
Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed by our sign-in provider), farm nameWhen you sign up or are invitedTo create and secure your account
Billing details: name, email, billing address, plan, payment status. Card details go to Stripe, not to us.When you start a paid planTo bill you, send receipts and meet tax and accounting rules
Farm records you enter: for example water readings, headgate names, crew members and hours, customers and contact lists, products, orders, wholesale buyers, lots and traceability records, and photos or files you uploadWhen you or your team use the ServiceTo provide the tools you use
Worker PIN sign-ins on the field appWhen a worker clocks in or logs a readingTo record who did what, and to block repeated wrong PINs

Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and logs of requests and errorsWhen you use the ServiceTo keep the Service secure and working

2. Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the Service to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your farm, cart and language. If optional analytics are turned on, we'll ask first through the cookie banner.

3. Who handles data for us

We use these service providers to run the Service. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.

  • Vercel: hosting.
  • Neon: database and sign-in.
  • Stripe: payments and billing.
  • Resend: sending email.
  • Twilio: text messages, only if a farm turns on SMS features.
  • Cloud file storage (such as Cloudflare R2): photos and files you upload, if file uploads are enabled.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (with notice to you).

4. Data farms enter about other people

When a farm enters information about its workers, customers or buyers, the farm decides what to collect and how to use it. We process that information to provide the Service to the farm. If you're one of those people and want to see, correct or delete your information, please contact the farm first. We'll help the farm respond.

5. Public traceability pages

If a farm prints Route Trace QR stickers, anyone who scans one can see the lot information the farm chose to make public. These pages don't show workers' or customers' personal information.

6. How long we keep data

We keep account and farm records while your account is open. After you close your account, we delete or anonymise them within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep records to meet legal, tax or accounting rules, or to resolve disputes. Billing records are kept as long as the law requires.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords and access controls that keep each farm's data separate. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

8. Your choices and rights

You can update your account details in the Service, and you can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@cielohermosa.com. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law. We won't treat you differently for using them. You can unsubscribe from farm marketing emails through the link in each email.

9. Children

The Service is for businesses and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Where data is processed

The Service is run from the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We'll change the effective date above, and if a change is significant we'll tell account owners by email or in the Service.
